Perfumes and concentration secrets: How do you choose the perfect perfume for you?

Perfumery as we know it now was created in Europe in the 19th century. Perfumes consist of a mixture of water, ethanol (alcohol), and essential oils.
With the development of the industry and the spread of perfumes more and more, there have become countless scents and different concentrations of perfumes, which causes a lot of confusion when choosing the right perfume.

The idea of concentrating perfumes:

Perfume consists of the raw material, which is essential oil, and alcohol. The higher the percentage of essential oil in the bottle, the stronger and longer lasting the fragrance will be. The lower the percentage, the less stable it becomes, and therefore its scent will last a shorter time.
You can usually find the concentration of the perfume under the brand name on the bottle, and this concentration indicates the strength of the fragrance.
To make these concentrations easier to understand, they have been divided into categories, where you can determine the strength and longevity of the fragrance by the name of the concentration category on the perfume bottle.

Perfume categories:

  1. Parfum:
